Sudden

"Death is not the opposite of life, but a part of it". -- Haruki Murakami

Death is an inevitable part of life. We are all headed that way.
A few days ago I learned that one of my good friends passed away because of an illness. It was never expected of him to be sickly. He was always joyful and innocent. He made people laugh and there was never a dull moment with him. He was our "sugar rush".

In a simple way, he has touched our lives -- just by making us smile. As simple as that and he is remembered and will always be remembered.

Rest in peace my dear friend, 'till we meet again.

What do you want to be known for?

It was my first time to go to church last Sunday for this year. I am not religious but I have always believed in God. Growing up in a household with different religious affiliations was very confusing for me. I just went along with the majority, I was raised a born again christian but I was baptized as a Roman Catholic.

Coming to church that day, unexpectedly, there were a lot of familiar faces including my ultimate crush. :D The pastor asked the congregation "What do you want to be known for?", I was no able to answer. What am I good at? What is my purpose? I have asked these questions to myself so many times and until now I haven't clearly answered it.

So I decided, from this day forward I will stop being mediocre in things that I do and excel, I'll look for new things that I can be good or even great at and listen to what is really important to me.

How soon is now?

I'm generally a happy person and very outgoing. You rarely find me in just one place. However, lately I have really not been myself. Most of the time I'm confined in the four corners of my blue room. Nothing and nobody inspires me nowadays.

In my quest to self-discovery and personal growth, hence the birth of this blog. I'm not good in putting fancy words together, but this blog will serve as a memento of my journey to self improvement.

Stop and take time to reflect. Look out for opportunities to do great things. Listen to the desire of understanding the Big Picture.

There is no single formula that defines the path to personal success. So join me in my strive for success in every aspects of my life. Maybe I can inspire you in some way or another. I hope.
